It simply exists, functioning quietly in the world, doing exactly what it was designed to do, and the person behind it moves on to the next thing without announcement. That is, in large part, what Quarantus is.

Based in Uluwatu on the southern edge of Bali, Quarantus is a premium digital design studio built around a single conviction: that the best design work is felt before it is noticed. The studio operates at the intersection of visual discipline and cultural intelligence, producing web experiences and brand identities for clients who understand that how something looks is inseparable from what it means.

The client list reflects this philosophy without naming it. Over the years Quarantus has contributed to EU-funded development initiatives, ASEAN regional programs, and international projects supported by GIZ, the German development agency operating across Southeast Asia and beyond. Private commissions have come from individuals and companies across Europe requiring a designer capable of working to a high standard with equal discretion. International hospitality groups, high-net-worth private clients and quietly ambitious corporate entities have all passed through, and none are named here without consent. That is deliberate. Quarantus has carried a second life for well over a decade. Under the same name, a body of ambient electronic music has been accumulating since at least 2009, released quietly without label and without campaign. The earliest records, The Empire and The World, established a sound that was already searching for something specific. Convalescere followed in 2012 alongside NEUERA, and by Embrace 2021 the direction had sharpened considerably. More recently, Breathe 2023, created in Uluwatu Bali, and Kedaton Nyuwun Pangestu 2024 mark a clear turn toward the sounds of the archipelago itself, compositions rooted in Nusantara synthesis, slow, geographically specific and atmospheric in a way that most electronic music refuses to be. The full discography lives across SoundCloud and Bandcamp, discovered more often by accident than by search.

The music answers to no client brief and no deadline. It exists because the same sensibility driving the design work, precision, restraint, cultural depth, needs somewhere to go when the screen goes dark.
